Les différentes parties prenantes ont souvent des mécanismes de financement et des exigences en matière de rapports différents, ce qui complique la quantification des médicaments essentiels et des fournitures médicales. Le cours aborde les défis rencontrés lors de la prévision et de la quantification des médicaments essentiels, notamment les médicaments contre le VIH/sida, les antipaludéens et les médicaments antituberculeux. Il vise à renforcer la capacité des participants à maîtriser les tâches de prévision et de quantification et à décider du processus de planification des achats approprié sur la base d'une analyse approfondie des données

There are many challenges ensuing from the increasing number of stakeholders in the health sector of developing countries. Different stakeholders often have different funding mechanisms and reporting requirements, which makes quantification of essential medicines and medical supplies more complicated. The course addresses the challenges faced during the forecasting and quantification of essential medicines, including HIV/AIDS medicines, anti-malarials and TB medicines. It aims at building up the participants’ capacity to master the forecasting and quantification tasks and to decide for the appropriate procurement planning process based on a profound analysis of the data.

This free and open introductory course offers basic concepts and exercises on the quantification of medicines and health products.

This year’s program will award twelve candidates a spot on one of our online courses (six in English and six in French). To be eligible, candidates must be nationals or residents of a low- or middle-income country (based on the World bank classification). The winning applications are chosen through a lottery system.
